REVIEW: Claw PRO Golf Glove

The Last Golf Glove You'll Ever Buy
CaddyDaddy introduced the Claw golf glove just over a year ago.  I called it a game changer at the time, and still stick by that review.  I still have the original Claw glove I reviewed 1 year ago.  I’ve washed it a couple times and worn it for well over 100 rounds.  The palm is still grippy and flexible and the back material washes up and is still clean looking.  There is minimal signs of use over 100 rounds.  Considering the AZ heat that this glove has survived, there isn’t another glove on the market that even comes close.  So how do they top that?  They created the Claw PRO glove which tweaks the back material to create a better fit yet maintain the durability and grip of the glove.  This truly is the last glove you will every need to buy.
Maybe you remember the commercial, “How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?”  The answer has been greatly debated, but it is a lot.  How many rounds until you need a new Claw glove?  I’m not sure, because I still haven’t ruined one.  So with that kind of durability to live up to, the Claw PRO uses much of the same design, just adds a suede like material on the top of the hand.  This soft material is still washable and breathable, but it keeps its form a little better than the stretchy material.  This creates a tighter fit.  This tighter fit means even better grip and connection to the club.  The finger material remains the combination of stretch and breathable materials, although the PRO has a much tighter weave to the mesh fabric.

The Claw PRO comes in a grey and black color scheme.  The Claw glove palm was already grey, and having the rest of the material in grey in the PRO version gives is a unique look.  The black accents give it a muted yet stylish look.  While white gloves may still be the color of choice, there certainly has been an acceptance of every color of the rainbow golf glove.  I didn’t find the grey to get hot in the sun which can happen with certain dark colors.  The airflow technology in the material keeps your hand from overheating, even in the extreme AZ heat.

The Claw PRO uses the same silicone web coated palm to offer extreme flexibility, and excellent grip of the club.  I continue to be impressed with how connected to the club it feels.  With the tighter fit, because of the material used on the top, it really offers “stick” to the club without needing pressure.  Reducing grip pressure while increasing hold will benefit everyone’s swing.  It is one of those tips that requires a constant reminder; don’t choke the club.  So yes a golf glove can help your game by allowing you to maintain good grip on the club without increasing grip pressure.

If the Claw PRO golf glove was made by a big OEM, it would be a smash hit.  Hopefully golfers will give it a chance.  I’m still not a fan of the name and logoing, but with a product this great, it shouldn’t matter.  If golfers give this a try, they are going to love it. The only other complaint might be the slightly thicker nature of the materials, but stick and durability supersede that slight difference.  The reason golfers wants thin leather is for more feel.  Even though the silicone web is thicker, it still has amazing feel, especially because you have great grip without pressure.

The Claw PRO truly is the last glove you will ever need to buy. I hate crunchy gloves I have to replace every 5 rounds.  1 glove that lasts for an entire season or more, that is an outstanding product!!   For $25 you owe it to yourself to give this glove a try.  Even in a worse case scenario it can be your backup glove in the bag, because it isn’t going to wear out or rip like a regular glove does (often right in the middle of your round too). My guess is that it won’t stay your backup glove for long; because it is legit AWESOME.  It is comfortable, grippy and lasts forever.
