Knowing Distance Doesn't Have to Be Expensive
Golf has required equipment in some form since it was invented. From a stick and a ball in the earliest version of the game, to an endless array of equipment (as you can tell from the growing number of reviews we write here). One piece of equipment has become a necessity to nearly every golfer today – a Distance Measuring Device. Because different clubs travel different distances, we need something to measure our targets. Personally, I prefer a Laser over a GPS. It allows me to target objects that I deem helpful in determining what clubs to use, rather than a set of predetermined objects with GPS.
As with most technology, we have seen incredible growth in both the abilities and value in laser rangefinders.  The Sureshot Laser PINLOC 5000iP  laser rangefinder is no exception. From the very first target I tried it on, I was hooked.  I’ve never had a laser gather the target this quickly and accurately. The first push of the target button is not just to turn it on, the PINLOC has already gotten a distance in view with a black LCD display. We ranked the Sureshot Pinloc #2 in our buyers guide for best budget rangefinder.

Sureshot Laser was designed in Australia and has become a very well known company there. Lightweight, accurate and affordable makes it easy to understand why you should consider Sureshot in your bag. Knowing your distances doesn’t have to be expensive anymore.  Open the box, put the battery in the laser and shoot a distance, it’s that easy. Sureshot offers 3 models of the PINLOC 5000; PINLOC 5000i (i for Intelligent), PINLOC 5000iP (P for pulse) and PINLOC 5000iPS (S for slope). While the unit is nearly half the cost of the large scale rangefinders on the market, it doesn’t feel or look cheap and has done everything my much more expensive range finders have done for years.

Sureshot PINLOC 5000iP Features include:

  • Intelligent: Intelligent software delivering incredible accuracy and precision at the speed of light.
  • Pulse: Vibrates when it locks onto Target. This feature can be turned off if you prefer.
  • Priority loc: Ignores background images and will prioritize focal points.
  • Pinloc: Once Target is locked in the distance is displayed on the screen for up to 15 seconds.
  • Scan mode: There is a Scan Mode which lets you hold down the power button to Scan the entire terrain and their distances quickly.
  • Magnification: Objects appear 6x closer for a clearer and more precise picture.
  • Waterproof: Built to last with shock resistant casing and water-resistant for all golfing conditions.
  • Lightweight: Weighing only 173 grams and designed to fit snug in your hand for comfort.

There are a growing number of distance measuring devices for golf.  You might want to consider looking at a brand like SureshotLaser as an alternative to the other expensive brands.  Sure the other brands might have “status” but all you really need is accurate distance.  The Sureshot PINLOC 5000iP will give you the exact same distance as other laser rangefinders at a much lower cost.  Knowing your distance doesn’t have to be expensive with Sureshot Laser Rangefinders.
